Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, great location!

The staff were very welcoming at this charming hotel. It offers free parking and is very close to the charming town center. It was quiet at night, which is very important to me. Unfortunately, we experienced very bad weather, so we were unable to enjoy the private terrace of our bedroom or the swimming pool in the garden. I wished I could have stayed longer than just one night at this lovely hotel.

Highly Recommended

Everything was superb - from staff to premises. There was a lovely feel to the entire place, and we were made to feel very welcome - welcome drink was a nice touch as was the little celebration of our anniversary by the staff over dinner - a lovely touch. Isabelle, the owner was absolutely charming.

The staff in the main were clearly new and though - a little nit picking, but at dinner were a tiny bit over attentive! A quiet word sorted that - but don't get me wrong - not a complaint at all!!

Refined elegance with excellent service and welcome

The old world feel of an elegant and well-presented building, and the setting within the old walled Hill Town, are very much to be enjoyed. We had stayed by Monpazier for a family gathering a few years earlier in high season. The town is pleasantly quiet in November. The staff were very welcoming, with a high standard of service. The elegant restaurant, formed in what might have been the original coach house, was exceptional, both in food quality and the formal service provided. We were on a road trip North and the 2 nights here were a perfect respite.

We've travelled a lot in France and have participated in Town Twinning for over 30 years. Our French is passable. We weren't always answered in French and we prefer to speak French in France when possible. The haut cuisine menu was first class but limited the variety if staying more than a night or two.

Wonderful

Fabulous little town, a real treat! The hotel is 100% as picturesque and charming as the pictures depict. It is a wonderfully comfortable and personable hotel with an expensive restaurant that is absolutely worth the treat, it is beautiful curated with exceptional service!

Wonderful

The staff were all excellent, very attentive and helpful. We have a dog and he was very much welcomed. The hotel was all very nicely decorated and furnished. All facilities as described.. The hotel was a few minutes walk from the centre of Monpazier. Private parking available. The restaurant attached was also excellent.

The gold standard of what great hospitality is including interacting with the owners.

The joy of staying is such a gorgeous chateau in such a remarkable and fascinating 12th Century village was wonderful but my lasting memory will be the delightful staff who showed an interest in us and took the time to interact with us even singing a special song for our 50th wedding anniversary. Great location, staff very helpful. Clean spacious rooms.

1/2 board suggested on booking.com, but no explanation on how to book it. Sent email to property requesting dinner, but as no mention of 1/2 board, this was not honored and so took la carte menu which was very expensive.

Excellent Hotel

Stayed at this hotel a few times now and love Monpazier. My room was small but very comfortable for a lone traveller which I was on this occasion - the bed was particularly comfy. Isabel on reception was very friendly and helpful and has good knowledge of Monpazier and other places to drink and eat at although the hotel restaurant is superb. I wouldnt hesitate in returning or recommending to friends and family

My only regret is that we could not stay longer, this is the best hotel I have stayed in in France, such friendly, welco

Fabulous hotel highly recommend, everything about our stay was amazing, property, location, staff, food, service. Very relaxed atmosphere ideal place for a relaxing getaway in beautiful French village, had breakfast and dinner in hotel and both were fabulous will definitely be returning.
